Caroline Ost, MA

Caroline Ost (she/they) is a queer therapist who utilizes a non-judgmental, trauma-informed approach where you can openly examine your mental health, your beliefs, your identities, and how your experiences and interactions with society affect your life. They enjoy working with clients from all walks of life, particularly those who identify as part of the LGBTQIA+ community, clients who are non-monogamous or interested in exploring non-monogamous relationship structures, and folks who are navigating life/spirituality after experiencing religious trauma. Caroline is a sex-positive practitioner and is kink and poly affirming.

Caroline's relational style of therapy prioritizes client autonomy and the therapist-client relationship. She believes that therapy is most beneficial when clients feel free to share their joys, fears, successes, and challenges in a space that is infused with joy and compassion. Caroline's focus is on holding hope for clients when the world feels like too much and providing reminders that change is possible, even when it doesn't feel like it. Pulling from a variety of modalities including IFS, DBT, and body-based therapies, Caroline works alongside clients to uncover treatment styles that match the unique needs of each individual. Caroline has experience working with a number of diagnoses, including depression, anxiety, autism, ADHD, BPD, bipolar, PTSD, schizoaffective disorder, eating disorders, and sexual functioning disorders.

Caroline earned their master's degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from North Park University. They have a background as a musician and enjoy utilizing creative practices as a part of their therapeutic work. When Caroline isn't in the counseling chair, you can find her hanging out with her dog Hambone, tending to her ever-growing number of plants, and eating as much ice cream as possible.
