Blue Cross Blue Shield PPO and Blue Choice
Wendy Haas, LPC
Wendy believes that self-exploration combined with implementing specific goals and boundaries in one’s life allows for both understanding and forward movement. Her approach draws on the acceptance, reflection, and high regard of person-centered and Adlerian therapies as well as behavioral change approaches of CBT and DBT. Wendy’s work in yoga-informed therapy speaks to her holistic approach to the individual, and her belief that mental well-being benefits from noticing the mind-body connection.
Wendy’s experience includes working with adults and emerging adults seeking to address anxiety, depression, eating disorders and process addictions. She’s particularly interested in the topics of codependency and self-worth. Wendy believes it’s important to look at how various choices, core beliefs, coping styles, and relationships, combined with any mental health or life challenges, are impacting you.
Additionally, Wendy enjoys working with individuals in the fine and performing arts; her own artworld background lends an understanding of how the life, goals and identity of an artist may be different than those of a non-artist. LGBTQIA+ ally. Wendy has an MA in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Northeastern Illinois University.
