Kelly Griffin, LCSW

Kelly is trained to treat a variety of anxiety and depressive disorders in adults and has specialized interest and training working with individuals who have complex trauma disorders stemming from childhood. Kelly integrates attachment-based interventions to assist clients in first identifying and then healing persistent, life-long emotional wounds. Depression, anxiety, panic, anger, shame, or difficulty trusting others are all normal responses to adverse childhood situations, and Kelly believes nobody should have to process and understand these experiences alone. She values the opportunity to accompany clients through their memories and experiences to help them envision a safer, and more hopeful, future for themselves.

Kelly integrates a variety of therapeutic approaches based on the individualized needs of each client, such as Compassionate Inquiry, EMDR, IFS (internal family systems), EFT, as well as ACT and CBT. Kelly has completed a year-long professional training in Compassionate Inquiry and the teachings of Gabor Maté, with the privilege of training exclusively under the direct supervision of the cofounder Sat Dharam in an intimate small-group setting. Kelly has completed training in EMDR through the EMDR Institute, as well as additional training and experience in IFS and EFT. Kelly believes greatly in the importance of ongoing learning, and she is happy to provide science-based psychoeducation to any clients who have questions about various therapeutic approaches and perspectives.

After graduating from Brown University with a bachelor's in psychology, Kelly obtained her master’s degree in clinical social work at Loyola University Chicago. In her free time, Kelly enjoys writing, eating high-calorie foods, and watching her two cats battle for the top spot on the cat tree.

Please note: Kelly's current hours are Mon-Thurs, 7AM-3:30PM. All Thursday availability is through telehealth only.
