Eduardo Cristiano-Hernandez, M.A.

In life, we face challenges that can significantly impact our relationships, from everyday stress to family-related issues. With my background in marriage and family therapy and systemic thinking, I understand that the problems clients bring to therapy are often quite complex. My therapeutic approach is based on Emotionally Focused Therapy, which has been proven effective in helping adults, couples, and families address their issues. I am also trained in Gottman Levels 1 & 2 and have certification to provide premarital counseling using the Prepare Enrich Assessment.

I'm fluent in English and Spanish, a first-generation son of immigrants, and identify as a BIPOC queer therapist. I earned my Master of Arts in Couple and Family Counseling from Northeastern Illinois University and completed my clinical training at an outpatient community mental health clinic in Chicago. Currently, I am supervised by Sara Vargas, CST, LMFT.

I look forward to our work together!
