Jelena Bulic, M.A.
Jelena creates a therapeutic environment free from judgment where clients can safely explore their challenges. She fosters collaboration and trust with her clients to help them discover their inner selves, gain insight, and find meaning in their lives. Jelena is also passionate about providing trauma-informed care.
Jelena believes that each person has innate strengths and resilience; she uses these as powerful tools for positive change. Jelena integrates a range of therapeutic approaches to suit each individual's needs. She draws from psychodynamic theory, humanistic psychotherapy, ACT (acceptance and commitment therapy) and art therapy. Jelena also uses EMDR (eye movement desensitization and reprocessing) to help clients work through trauma.
Jelena's personal and professional background equips her to work effectively with diverse populations, providing culturally sensitive and inclusive care. Jelena is experienced in addressing anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, relationship struggles, chronic illness and family of origin issues. She works with adults, adolescents, couples, and families. She has experience working with marginalized communities including immigrants, LGBTQ+ individuals, and others.
Jelena obtained her MA in counseling from Northeastern Illinois University. She is fluent in English, Serbian, Bosnian, and Croatian.
