For over ten years, Erilda has provided a safe and affirming space for clients to explore what is preventing them from living the lives they desire. She believes that therapy offers the opportunity to gain a deeper knowledge and acceptance of oneself while also providing insight into how one’s past conflicts and experiences influence current behaviors and relationships.
Erilda specializes in helping clients identify and overcome obstacles so that they can achieve their goals. These obstacles include anxiety, depression, trauma, family conflict, loss, and identity issues. She has a special interest in working with clients working through cultural issues and immigrant -origin clients.
Erilda’s approach to therapy is collaborative, warm, understanding and honest. She practices psychotherapy using an integrative, strengths-based approach, which includes Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT).
Erilda received her master’s degree in counseling from the Chicago School of Professional Psychology and has worked extensively with children, adults and families in many settings, including community-based, school and inpatient.
